Not really a "gym person"
Okay, as you can probably tell already, I’m not really a gym person. I have a little 3-month gym membership that I ALMOST NEVER use. The gym is nice, but it’s not really my style. Nope, just not me. Instead, I like roadwork. I like being outside. I like getting fresh air even when it’s blistering cold out.
I like working out using my own body weight, if that makes any sense. Push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, I’m all about it. However, I’m not into cosmetic gym style workouts. Something seems weird and unnatural about running in place on a treadmill, or climbing up stairs that lead to nowhere. I just don’t like it. Plus, lifting weights seems like it requires too much artificial equipment. I’m not even going to talk about some of the heavier contraptions. They look like something you might find in a medieval torture chamber. So whatever, I don’t go to the gym. Sue me.
Instead let’s face it. I gotta appreciate my roots here. I love working out and getting exercise, but I have to do it the “natural” way. I don’t like the gym. Nope. I gotta be outdoors. So Body-for-Life…I’m just not that into you.
In conclusion, it’s time to get some fresh air and hit the ground running. Open roads, here I come.
