Have you ever bumped into someone, somewhere at somepoint in this random walkabout life only to find out that you may have, or could have, known that person in another life? What if that same sense of familiarity actually stemmed from someplace real, some place tangible, someplace familiar, let’s say…like college? I suppose this happened to me, but more so in the ethereal online “community.”

The other day I stumbled across a sweet website in my meandering quest to browse for last minute Christmas gifts for fam and friends. Suddenly I happened upon a website that sells “hippie headbands.” Ordinarily I’m not the type of person who sports hippie regalia nor headbands or any sort, but I definitely appreciate the people in my life who do. So I thought, why not?

Then I saw a picture. Then I saw a face. Then I saw a style and rad fashion sense that seemed so cool and swanky, yet stylishly earthy, and yet still so damn familiar. In my head the verbiage went, “Don’t I know you from somewhere?” but I quickly batted it aside. Word to the wise: If you ever have thoughts that even remotely resemble a really bad pickup line, immediately shut them up and take a nap. So I closed my browser like a good boy. Then I opened up my facebook account and checked my daily messages. Guess what I found? Lo and behold, a super rad, cool female whose swagger was “swanky, yet stylishly earthy, and yet still so damn familiar.”

Maybe I have too many friends because I can’t keep track of them all.  Then again maybe I just have way too many “facebook friends.” …Anyway, it turns out this girl and I are both alum of the same university. Obviously we must have attended at the same time. That’s a big 12 school for ya!

Yeah well, here’s my point; if you’re in the market for a crazy-cool “hippie headband” you should definitely consider buying one from this girl. If nothing else I’m sure you’ll beef up on your yoga poses just from getting to know Megan for about two seconds. Guaranteed. Judge for yourself. She’s a very chill, easy-going spirit. (That’s always my qualifying standard for which I make no compromises. If you’re not chill, please step away from the Daniel. 🙂 ) Plus, apparently she’s into long walks on the beach, hippie headbands, flying saucers, yoga poses, and scuba diving. So be cool. Buy a headband. And remember: More often then not, we’re all pretty much “friends” in this world.
